SPECIALISATION TRACKS

Track 1 – Finance & Data Science

Track 2 – Development & Policy
This track equips students for careers in public policy, development research, international organisations, and social sector analytics. Students gain expertise in causal inference, welfare economics, policy evaluation, labour economics, agricultural economics, and institutional analysis.
RESEARCH AND COMPUTATIONAL TRAINING
The programme provides rigorous training in econometrics, data analytics, computational economics, machine learning, and AI-assisted research methods. Students gain hands-on experience working with Python, NLP tools, ML pipelines, and economic datasets from Indian and international sources.
The curriculum emphasises evidence-based analysis, causal inference, and real-world economic problem-solving through projects, computational labs, and applied research exercises.
DISSERTATION AND HIGHER EDUCATION PREPARATION
Students pursuing the M.Sc Economics with Research pathway undertake a faculty-guided dissertation focused on a substantive economic problem within their area of specialisation.
