SRM University-AP celebrates 12th International Yoga Day with Expert-Guided Session

The Directorate of Sports at SRM University-AP organized a grand campus-wide event to commemorate the 12th International Yoga Day (IDY 2026), bringing together the community for a morning dedicated to holistic wellness. The celebration saw an overwhelming level of participation from a huge number of students, faculty, and staff members. This collective gathering reflected the university’s ongoing commitment to fostering an environment that prioritizes physical health, mental clarity, and unity.

The comprehensive session was expertly guided by yoga instructor KM Moni, who led the enthusiastic attendees through a variety of mindful practices. Participants actively engaged in multiple yoga poses designed to enhance physical flexibility, balance, and core strength, followed by calming pranayama exercises to improve breath control and internal focus. Adding immense prestige and motivation to the gathering, the university’s distinguished leadership actively participated on the mat alongside the students and staff. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ch. Satish Kumar, along with the Director of Sports Dr Vir Ji Koul, enthusiastically took part in the various asanas and pranayama exercises, demonstrating a shared commitment to the institution’s ongoing wellness initiatives. Their hands-on involvement not only motivated the participants but also underscored SRM AP‘s holistic approach to academic and personal development, making the IDY 2026 celebration a resounding success.
