Dr Jatindra Kumar Dash is a seasoned academician and researcher who currently serves as the Dean – Academic Affairs at SRM University-AP. He previously served as the Associate Dean – SEAS (Academic Operations and Graduate Outcome). He earned a Ph.D. in the area of Computer Vision from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, following a Master’s in Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from Government College of Engineering, Tirunelveli.
With over 22 years of rich experience spanning academics, research, and administration, he has made significant contributions to the field, publishing more than 40 articles in reputed journals and international conferences. An expert in medical image analysis, he is also actively open to collaborations as a consultant in AI and Machine Learning.
Dr Jatindra Kumar Dash has gained valuable international exposure, having worked as a visiting researcher at Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology (SCET), University of California, Berkeley, United States, and attended a specialised workshop on teaching pedagogy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, United States.
A successful administrator, Dr Jatindra previously held the position of Associate Dean -School of Engineering and Sciences (Academic Operations and Graduate Outcome). He is widely recognised for his inclusive decision-making style and deep commitment to fostering mutual respect within academic and professional environments, ensuring successful and harmonious administrative outcomes.
Dr Vinayak Kalluri, Dean – Academic Affairs at SRM University–AP, is an accomplished academic leader with over two decades of experience in teaching, research, and higher education administration. A multifaceted professional with a strong track record in academic leadership, he brings a strategic and collaborative approach to institutional growth and academic excellence.
As Dean – Academic Affairs, Dr Vinayak is responsible for fostering a collegial and high-performance academic environment, leading academic units towards enhanced productivity, relevance, and quality. He oversees academic integrity and curricular coherence across all programs, ensuring alignment with the University’s vision and long-term growth objectives. In addition to his academic leadership role, he also handles the administration of travel, transport, and the University’s purchase processes in his capacity as an Additional Registrar.
Dr Vinayak holds a Ph.D. from BITS Pilani, with an M.Tech. from IIT Madras. His areas of expertise include product design, machine design, computer-aided design and analysis, and smart manufacturing. Prior to joining SRM University–AP, he held several key academic leadership positions at BITS Pilani and BML Munjal University, including Associate Dean – Academic Affairs & Operations and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He also served on key university governance bodies such as the Finance Committee, Academic Council, and Board of Management.
He has played a pivotal role in curriculum innovation, implementation of outcome-based education, accreditation processes, and the establishment of world-class laboratories and centres of excellence. Dr Vinayak has led and nurtured major academic and industry collaborations with globally renowned institutions and organisations A recipient of multiple academic and professional awards, he is widely recognised for his contributions to engineering education, industry engagement, and experiential learning initiatives.
