Experience

  • Assistant Professor, Centre for Culture, Media and Governance, Jamia Milia Islamia, 2018-2020
  • Visiting Research Fellow, Global Centre for Technology in Humanities, Kyung Hee University, Seoul, South Korea, 2019
  • Assistant Professor, Centre for Culture, Media and Governance, Jamia Millia Islamia, 2022-2024
  • Assistant Professor, School of Liberal Arts and Humanities, Woxsen University, 2024-2025
  • Assistant Professor, Department of Media Studies, Easwari School of Liberal Arts, SRM-AP, 2025 onwards-till present

Research Interest

  • My expertise traverses a few disciplines, specifically Media and Cultural Studies, Social and Cultural Anthropology, English Language and Literature (British and American), and Continental Philosophy. This ability to straddle different disciplines with fair mastery helps me adopt a transdisciplinary perspective which conceives the traditional representational paradigms of Media and Cultural studies as its point of departure and reassemble it to address the emerging problematic field. The thrust of my research revolves around Critical Postmedia Studies, Continental Poststructuralist Philosophy especially that of Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari, Techno-Social assemblages, Anthropology of Objects, Philosophy of Objects, and Critical Posthumanism.
  • My current research focuses on the emerging problematic characteristic of various disciplinary entanglements, specifically the techno-social interface where the discourses of new biology, life studies, deep time and planetary entanglements vis a vis climate change, algorithmic architecture of media and the notion of ‘artificial’ and ‘more-than-human’ intelligence, posits the entanglement of life, matter and mediation generates new modes of thought and technicity. Some specific areas of my current research includes the following themes largely: Critical Postmedia Studies, Machinic Ecologies and Technics of Sense, Anthropology and Philosophy of Technicity, Critical Life Studies, Ontological Anthropology and Speculative Realism, Transfeminist Technics and Minor Media, Media Archaeology, and Philosophy of Difference, Intensity and Becoming. Currently my research advances the field of Critical Planetary Futures and Speculative Ecologies at the SRM University.
