Abstract

Coupled-inductor single-input dual-output (CI-SIDO) DC-DC converters offer high power density with fewer components but face challenges in maintaining output voltage balance. This paper proposes a new coupled inductor based independently controlled dual output single input DC-DC converter with wide output Voltage range and voltage-balancing with modular structure, an inherent common ground, and effective voltage balancing. The converter supports both balanced and unbalanced outputs while ensuring stable operation under varying loads. It can also be configured for bidirectional power flow, making it suitable for DC-link voltage in Electric Vehicles. The proposed topology is validated through MATLAB/Simulink simulations, confirming its effectiveness.
