Abstract

Abstract: Saving energy in energy conversion devices is one of the main requirements in the current global energy situation. One potential answer to this issue could be the miniaturization of energy conversion machinery. To achieve this, the equipment’s fluids utilized for energy transfer may have their heat transfer rates increased. To improve the thermal fluid’s heat transmission rates, the researchers presented a variety of alternatives. The fluid’s thermal characteristics can be altered by scattering solid nano-additives to increase thermal conductivity. Such fluids are termed as “nanofluids.” Because of their poor dispersal steadiness, nanofluids are challenging to use in practical applications. The current work presents the idyllic bio-glycerol and water (GW) mixture ratio discovery as base fluid to perk up the steadiness of the nanofluid. A range of silica (SiO2) nanofluids concentrations are created and stabilized using physical and chemical processes. The thermal conductivity (k) of SiO2 nanofluids was examined, and the outcomes were presented. According to the study’s findings, SiO2 nanofluids that were prepared were a viable energy transfer fluid for applications including biomass conversion and thermal energy conversion.
