The Office of the Dean-Research, SRM University-AP, Amaravati organised a five-day hands-on workshop on High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) from January 19-23, 2026.

Convened by Dr Sabyasachi Mukhopadhyay, Associate Professor, Department of Physics, this session witnessed Prof. S Mannathan and Dr Seema Rani from the Department of Chemistry as resource persons. The five days of the hands-on workshop were theoretical and experimental. The workshop highlighted SRM-AP’s increasing avenues for collaborations and opening opportunities towards young minds, and external faculty as well.

With SRM-AP being a hub for 400 research instruments, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ch Satish Kumar launched the “Research and Lab Safety Booklets” highlighting the investment SRM-AP makes towards science and technology. Additionally, Prof. Ch Satish Kumar threw light on how acquiring equipment is a big achievement and even more important is receiving the technical training to utilize lab equipment in a safe manner.
