Abstract
In this research paper, an inductively coupled distributed static compensator (DSTATCOM) for three phase three wire (3P3W) electric power distribution system (PDS) is proposed. Both self and split capacitor-based topology is implemented to showcase the power quality (PQ) behaviour for the uncontrolled rectifier load. The filtering mechanism is performed by following the generalized mathematical approach for the different circuit topology-based voltage source converter (VSC) by using icos? algorithm. The MATLAB/ Simulink results prove that better potential control, potential balancing, source current harmonic reduction, and power factor correction are all benefits of the self-supported topology. Finally, the simulation analysis was completed from the proposed topology which also exposes the suitability for balanced loading state in PDS.
