Coverage and capacity are important issues in the planning process for mobile cellular networks. In this article, we focus on calculations for capacity and coverage for a Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) cell for Universal Mobile Telecommunication System (UMTS) network in different radio propagation environments, based on propagation prediction models. © 2005 IEEE.
