Abstract
The system level design and simulation results of an energy efficient 2.4 GHz Radio Frequency (RF) transmitter is being presented in this research paper. RF transmitter consisting of an Alternating Quadrature Differential Binary Phase Shift Keying (AQ-DBPSK) modulator, an up conversion mixer, band pass filter and a power amplifier are proposed in this work. The AQ-DBPSK technique is used as it increases the efficiency of the transmitter power utilization. In the transmitter the AQ-DBPSK signal is converted to 2.4 GHz by using a direct conversion I/Q up converter. The design presented focuses on the determination of optimum performance of transmitter by considering factors such as power consumption, output power and noise factor. © 2013 IEEE.
