Abstract

The goal of this project is to create a sign language identification system that uses computer vision and machine learning to help people who are deaf or hard of hearing communicate more effectively. This technology can considerably increase their capacity to speak and be understood by accurately recognising signs (perhaps using Support Vector Machines). This technology has a wide-ranging societal impact. It could be used in public settings, instructional materials, assistive equipment, and even for personal purposes. This sign language detecting technology has the potential to break down barriers and provide a more inclusive atmosphere in which everyone, regardless of communication ability, may engage in social interactions. This technology development offers a huge move towards a more compassionate and inclusive future for those with diverse communication requirements.
