Abstract
The problem of electrification is still prevailing in many parts of India. The non-electrified rural areas can be fed power by the use of standalone system photovoltaic system. The output of PV array mainly depends on the physical conditions like irradiation and temperature. Therefore, a robust converter is required which can operate under variable input conditions. Flyback converter is widely used in the industrial switched mode power supply (SMPS) applications because of its isolated voltage output, low cost and high efficiency. In the present work, the push – pull flyback converter interfaced with solar PV system for domestic and small-scale industrial applications has been designed. The design has been simulated with fixed and variable irradiation inputs to the PV array in the MATLAB/SIMULINK environment.
