
SRM University-AP nurture potential and talent with hard work and perseverance to excel in global and national academic and research platforms. Four students from the Paari School of Business, have bagged the third prize at the International Women’s Conference – ‘Give to Gain: Women power for sustainability’ organised by Osmania University, Hyderabad.
Ms Bola Sankari Surebatthula (2nd year BBA), Ms Ramya Sri Appana (2nd year B.Com.), Ms Ankitha Dinesh (2nd year B.Com.), and Ms Diptimayee Pradhan (2nd year BBA), India secured 3rd place for Best Paper Presentation in their track.
The team got an esteemed opportunity to present their research paper titled “Reviving Indigenous Textile Knowledge: Consumer Perception and Digital Pathways for the Mangalagiri Handloom Cluster” under the category- “Women Architecting Policy, Innovation, Enterprise, NGOs, and Inclusive Academic Spaces”. The study explores how sustainability, innovation, and digital integration can bridge the gap between consumers and artisans. At its core, it highlights the role of women—who are not just contributors, but the backbone of the handloom sector.
In addition to the paper presentation, the team also presented a research poster, effectively summarising the key findings and insights of the study.
The conference was conducted under the theme “Give to Gain”, bringing together academicians, researchers, and professionals to deliberate on women-led development aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The conference featured eminent women speakers from diverse sectors, highlighting their roles from rural development to the Indian defence sector, whose insights enriched the learning experience and provided valuable interdisciplinary perspectives.
Mentored by Dr Nagalakshmi MVN, Assistant Professor, Department of Management, Paari School of Business, this recognition by PSB students reflects the depth of inquiry and academic engagement at SRM University–AP.
