Dr Vinayak Kalluri, Registrar (I/C) at SRM University–AP, is an accomplished academic leader with over two decades of experience in teaching, research, and higher education administration. A multifaceted professional with a strong track record in academic leadership, he brings a strategic and collaborative approach to institutional growth, administrative and academic excellence.
Previously as the Dean – Academic Affairs, Dr Vinayak was responsible for fostering a collegial and high-performance academic environment, leading academic units towards enhanced productivity, relevance, and quality. He oversaw academic integrity and curricular coherence across all programs, ensuring alignment with the University’s vision and long-term growth objectives. In addition to his academic leadership role, he also handled the administration of travel, transport, and the University’s purchase processes in his capacity as an Additional Registrar.
Dr Vinayak holds a Ph.D. from BITS Pilani, with an M.Tech. from IIT Madras. His areas of expertise include product design, machine design, computer-aided design and analysis, and smart manufacturing. Prior to joining SRM University–AP, he held several key academic leadership positions at BITS Pilani and BML Munjal University, including Associate Dean – Academic Affairs & Operations and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He also served on key university governance bodies such as the Finance Committee, Academic Council, and Board of Management.
He has played a pivotal role in curriculum innovation, implementation of outcome-based education, accreditation processes, and the establishment of world-class laboratories and centres of excellence. Dr Vinayak has led and nurtured major academic and industry collaborations with globally renowned institutions and organisations A recipient of multiple academic and professional awards, he is widely recognised for his contributions to engineering education, industry engagement, and experiential learning initiatives.
Dr R PremkumarDr R Premkumar is professionally qualified and holds Dual Master’s in Commerce and Human Resource Management and a Ph.D. in Strategic HRD.
Spanning across three decades of rich experience, Dr R Premkumar has handled diverse areas of senior academic administration of – Academics, Legal and General Administration, apart from vast industry experience. Dr R Premkumar has held different senior leadership positions as Registrar – IIT Mumbai, NITIE Mumbai, Defence Institute of Advance Technology Pune and various senior administrative positions in Ali Yavar Jung National Institute for the Hearing Handicapped Mumbai, Damodar Valley Corporation, Kolkata, before joining as Registrar, SRM University-AP.
As part of his role, Dr R Premkumar will be reporting to the Vice Chancellor and responsible for leading the various administration activities of – Registry, and other Offices/Departments, ensure compliances of various statutory bodies, and liaising with Government Departments. Dr R Premkumar will be leading various Directorates in functional areas of Human Resources (HR), Student Affairs, Campus Life & Maintenance (CLM) Administration, Medical facilities, Liaison, Media, and Public Relations, to support the growth of the university and build a high-performance driven organisation.
Dr R Premkumar will work closely with the Vice Chancellor in establishing the strategic leadership team, for the University, and help him in defining a talent strategy which encompasses Strategic & Lean Manpower Planning, Talent Acquisition, Capability Building, ensuring Quality Campus Life, facilitation Management and automation / Digitalization of various University processes, among others.
