Abstract
This paper presents a three-phase bridgeless interleaved boost converter designed as a front-end AC-DC stage for electric vehicle (EV) charging applications with multiple loads. The proposed topology eliminates the conventional diode bridge to reduce conduction losses and enhance overall efficiency. The interleaved structure inherently improves input current waveform quality by reducing ripple components and maintaining continuous conduction operation. The converter operates with a low DC-link capacitance while preserving stable performance under varying load conditions. Steady-state analysis and MATLAB/Simulink simulations under both balanced and unbalanced load scenarios demonstrate near-sinusoidal, satisfying IEEE 519 harmonic limits. The results confirm that effective harmonic mitigation is achieved through the structural advantages of the interleaved bridgeless topology without requiring complex closed-loop control schemes, making it suitable for multi-load EV frontend applications.
