Abstract
This paper presents a high-performance, nonisolated DC-DC converter topology designed for electric vehicle (EV) charging applications. The proposed converter is developed by integrating the Landsman and Boost converter structures. This combination harnesses the advantages of both converters, enabling high voltage gain, continuous input and output currents, and minimized stress on switching components. To simplify the control process and reduce the switching complexity, the converter operates with two synchronously controlled switches at the same duty cycle. A parallel inductor configuration enables balanced current sharing and reduce the current ripple. A key feature of the topology is to enhanced voltage gain and reduced current stress. A comprehensive theoretical analysis is presented to show performance improvements in steady-state behavior, voltage gain, component stress, and power losses. The simulation results validate the theoretical predictions, confirm the high efficiency and demonstrate the high reliability and practical suitability of the converter for the next generation EV charging infrastructure.
