Abstract

In this research project, we have developed a Virtual Reality (VR) driving simulation that provides users with an authentic, immersive, and cost-effective alternative to traditional driving simulators. Our simulator combines a vehicle model built using Blender, the advanced graphics and capabilities of Unreal Engine 5 (UE5), and real-world interaction through the Meta Quest 3 VR headset and Logitech G25 steering wheel. We prepared the vehicle in Blender to include accurate pivot points, rigs, and wheel setup. We aimed to create a realistic, secure, and captivating experience for the user when designing our VR driving simulation. We’re using the Meta Quest 3, a Logitech G29 steering wheel, and a custom car model created in Blender, all set against the backdrop of the impressive graphics and capabilities of Unreal Engine 5.
