SRM University-AP, Amaravati celebrated Sri Krishna Janmashtami with great enthusiasm and spiritual fervour. Organised by the Directorate of Student Affairs on September 02,2026 , the celebrations witnessed the enthusiastic participation of hundreds of students, faculty members and staff.

The celebrations were inaugurated by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of SRM University-AP, Prof. Ch Satish Kumar , along with his wife, Mrs Kiranmayi. The event featured a series of captivating cultural performances and group musical presentations by students, creating a vibrant and devotional atmosphere across the campus.

The soulful rendition of devotional songs received an overwhelming response from the audience. One of the highlights of the evening was the mesmerising dance performances by students dressed as Lord Krishna and Gopikas. Their colourful traditional attire, graceful movements and expressive performances beautifully brought alive the spirit of Janmashtami.

Prizes were also distributed to students who emerged victorious in various cultural competitions organised as part of the celebrations. Prof. Satish Kumar and Mrs Kiranmayi congratulated the students for their exceptional talent and enthusiastic participation.

Devotees from the ISKCON Temple, Tadepalli, also graced the occasion and facilitated the distribution of Mahaprasadam to the attendees. The event was attended by Registrar, SRM University-AP, Dr Vinayak Kalluri, Director – Student Affairs, Ms Revathi Balakrishnan, faculty members, staff and students.
