Dr Sumit Kumar Mehta, Assistant Professor, Department of Energy Engineering, SRM University-AP, delivered an Invited Talk at the 4th International Conference on Recent Advances in Applied Mathematics (RAAM 2026), organised by the Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad, during July 06 – 08, 2026.
His invited presentation, titled “Viscoelectric Effect-Induced Modulation of Reaction Characteristics in Electroosmotic Microreactors,” highlighted recent computational advances in electrokinetic transport and reactive microfluidic systems. The talk focused on the influence of the viscoelectric effect on electroosmotic flow and its impact on reaction characteristics in microscale reactors, contributing to the development of efficient microreactor technologies for chemical and energy-related applications.
The invitation to deliver this talk at an international conference reflects recognition of Dr Mehta’s research contributions in microfluidics, electrokinetics, computational fluid dynamics, and applied mathematics. The participation also provided an excellent platform for scientific discussions and establishing collaborations with researchers from academia and industry.
