The Department of Environmental Science and Engineering at SRM University-AP successfully organised a Faculty Development Program on Research Pedagogy and Supervisory Training, from Nov 10 – Dec 06 2025, aimed at strengthening research mentorship, enhancing academic leadership, and promoting effective supervisory practices in higher education. The program brought together faculty members, academicians, research scholars, and experts from diverse disciplines for a day of insightful learning, meaningful discussions, and collaborative exchange of ideas.
The FDP focused on key aspects of research supervision, including guiding scholars through ethical research practices, fostering innovation and critical thinking, improving research communication, and creating supportive academic environments that encourage quality research outcomes. Through engaging sessions and interactive discussions, participants gained valuable perspectives on contemporary research methodologies, publication practices, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the evolving role of supervisors in shaping the next generation of researchers.
