SRM University–AP Wins Second Prize at AP Space Technology Summit 2026

Students of SRM University–AP have secured the Second Prize at the state-level AP Space Technology Summit–2026, held from January 22 to 25 at Vignan University, Vadlamudi.

The summit was organised by the Vignan Foundation for Space Technology and Research and witnessed participation from students representing various universities and engineering colleges across Andhra Pradesh, who presented innovative projects through poster presentations.

Shaik Sumaya Amreen, Vattikuti Nithya,  third-year Civil Engineering students of SRM University–AP, won the second prize for their poster titled “Rapid Surface Water Quality Assessment.” Their work was appreciated for its relevance and scientific approach.

The awards were presented during the valedictory ceremony held on January 25 at Vignan University by Dr Venkata Raman, Director, CSIR–AIIMS, Hyderabad; Dr Pavuluri Subba Rao, CMD, Ananth Technologies and Chancellor, Vignan University; and Dr V Seshagiri Rao, Vice President, AP Space Tech Academy.

The winning students received cash prizes, certificates of appreciation, and mementos. Faculty members Dr Harish and Dr Pranav from the Department of Civil Engineering informed that the achievement reflects the students’ research orientation and academic excellence.

The students were congratulated by Prof. Ch Satish Kumar, Vice Chancellor, SRM University–AP, who appreciated their achievement and encouraged them to pursue impactful research in emerging interdisciplinary domains.
