Our Vision
The vision of the Teaching Learning Center (TLC) is to facilitate the faculty and the students in achieving processes that enable implementation of Outcome Based Education (OBE).
Our Mission
Assist faculty in delivering state-of-the-art lessons by improving pedagogy and using latest technology. Assist departments in designing curriculum, assessment and lesson plans. Assist students in the self and peer learning process to ensure conceptualization and meaningful learning.

The Teaching Learning Center (TLC) at SRM University-AP believes in continuously upgrading and implementing the best practices in teaching learning strategies partnering with the appropriate stakeholders to foster meaningful learning among the student community. TLC promotes to improve the quality of education and enhance learning experiences with persistent efforts through student-centric facilitation.
Services Offered
Curriculum Design
Developing, Designing and/or revamping the curriculum is an essential and continuous process to prepare graduates for the future.
Course Design
Assistance in defining Course Outcomes (COs) based on Bloom’s Taxonomy and planning for appropriate assessment for the attainment of COs.
Technology integrated Learning
Support faculty in using various classroom technologies to enhance and foster student learning expereinces.
Pedagogy
Assist faculty to choose different teaching and learning methods to for effective and efficient student learning.
Instructional Design
To use various instructional design strategies to facilitate instruction and student activities.
Assessment and Evaluations
Design and develop assessment strategies and respective evaluation methods for a given course/task/topic based on student learning outcomes.
Programmes
TLC conducts several programmes all year round to empower faculty with various competencies and levels.
Assessment and Rubrics Design
This is a hands-on workshop where faculty are encouraged to think deeper, develop and design specific criteria that will be used for assessing and evaluating a particular question, assignment or task. Faculty will be introduced to a few online Rubrics design templates that will help them create effective rubrics with specific criteria as per their requirement.
Course File Creation and Planning
This is an awareness workshop where faculty are given the course file structure along with detailed insights of the various sections and components that are included in it.
New Faculty Orientation
The New Faculty Orientation programme is intended to introduce new/fresh faculty to the teaching learning processes through various pedagogies and student centric active learning strategies. In this workshop the faculty are taken on an experiential walkthrough on Outcome Based Education, Curriculum & Course Design, Classroom Delivery & Communication, Student Engagement, Technology Integrated Learning, and Assessment & Evaluation.
Question Design and Question Paper Setting
Framing a perfect question that has all the characteristics is challenging!! This activity-based program assists faculty to design good questions that are relevant and assess student knowledge based on the learning outcomes. In Addition, this bootcamp also helps faculty to develop question bank and question paper for any given course.
Ways of Knowing the Natural and Social World (Part 1&2)
This workshop takes the participants on the journey of research in Natural and Social Sciences right from the inception of an idea, verification through evidence and the process involved in proving.
Entry Skills Assessments
Freshmen Undergraduate students are assessed on Aptitude and English competencies to better cater to their learning needs to faster learning.
Effective Course Design
This workshop will facilitate faculty through the process of designing a quality course based on OBE standards, learning environment and assessments.
ABC’s of Curriculum Design
Designing a curriculum is a herculean task that must follow specific guidelines for effective and efficient curriculum design and development. This module takes the stakeholders through a journey and process of developing a blueprint mapped to the graduate attributes and learning outcomes which ensures a systematic and structured learning path for the students.
21st Century Classroom - Technology Integrated Learning
The Technology Integrated module help faculty to use technology as tool to foster student learning through various educational technology tools and platforms. In addition, this module also assists in hybrid and online learning environments.
Learning Methods and Pedagogies
To cater to the current generation learning needs the focus must be shifted from teaching to learning and this module will facilitate that transition by introducing the various innovate student-centric pedagogies such and not limited to Active learning strategies, experiential learning methods, and collaborative learning methods.
E-Learning Studio
Perfectly designed studio to create quality online courses that offer unique learning experiences over a wide range of disciplines.
The Cycle of Outcome Based Education
This module walks the faculty through the process of Outcome Based Education right from defining the outcomes to testing the attainment of the same at various levels and stakeholders.
Teaching and Learning – Philosophy, Process, and Standards
The Teaching and Learning module talks about the process of providing quality education to the students based on student learning needs and learning outcomes. It also provides insights into the standards and best practices to ensure efficient delivery and foster student learning.
Range of Research Methodologies
This module facilitates the participants with different faucets and the journey of research that would help them pick and choose the appropriate method from the basket to find solutions and perform quality research.
Funded Projects – How & What?
This module provides insights on how to seek funded projects for various disciplines from multiple funding sources. It also provides pointers of the process from applying to interview and beyond.
Learn About the 21st Century Learner
Understanding the learners is crucial to cater to student learning needs for effective leaner engagement and enhance learning experiences. In this module the faculty are introduced to current generation learner psychology and various strategies to keep them engaged in the classroom.
Effective Classroom Management Practices
Managing the classroom is a skill that facilitators need to ensure smooth uninterrupted sessions. There are various classroom management strategies that this module facilitates to assist faculty for effective and positive classroom environment.
