SRM AP Wins IIRF Education Impact Award, Faculty Clinch Best Teacher Honours

IIRF Education Impact Award 2026

SRM University-AP has been honoured with the IIRF Education Impact Award-2026 for “Strong Industry Connect & Student Centric Initiative”, in recognition of the university’s academic performance in the field of education based on the IIRF 2025 survey and research by IIRF Centre for Institutional Research (ICIR). Two of SRM University-AP faculty were also bestowed with the prestigious Padma Vibhushan Dr Murli Manohar Joshi Shikshak Samman Teachers Awards 2025 for their outstanding contributions as teachers.

Prof. Ch. Satish Kumar, Vice Chancellor (I/C), SRM University-AP received the IIRF Education Impact Award-2026 on behalf of the university. He expressed his gratitude by stating, “We thank IIRF for recognising our efforts in building strong industry links and nurturing student-centred learning. This award inspires us to keep innovating and serving our academic community with renewed energy.”

Two eminent faculty members from the university, Dr K A Sunitha, Associate Professor and HOD, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and Dr Tousif Khan, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, received the Padma Vibhushan Dr Murli Manohar Joshi Shikshak Samman 2025 Teachers Awards, honouring them for innovative pedagogy, use of technology, and community engagement in the field of education.

On receiving the award, Dr Tousif Khan remarked, “I am deeply honoured and thankful for this recognition. This award inspires me to continue my journey of empowering learners and to uphold the values that guide my students and university to greater heights.” Dr K A Sunitha commented that she accepts this honourable award on behalf of every teacher who works tirelessly to inspire young minds. She said, “This award belongs to every teacher who shapes minds, nurtures dreams, and builds the future. Thank you for recognising our shared commitment to education.”

The award ceremony was held at the 8th Annual Industry-Academia Conclave at New Delhi on the theme: “Technology and Teaching-Learning: Challenges and Opportunities”. The prestigious conclave hosted over 200 eminent leaders from academia and industry, featuring keynote addresses, expert panel discussions, and interactive sessions led by Directors of IITs, IIMs, and Vice-Chancellors from reputed institutions across India.
