Research Interest
The first research work estimates the throughput performance of the integrated quayside and landside operation of a dry bulk terminal considering the variation of crane's unloading time, finite quayside space, and semi-automated cargo transfer mechanism. It also proposes different stockyard layout choices that minimize the expected throughput time.
The present work explores the various types of order sortation system in warehouses, classifies them, and finds four key research questions. The preliminary models, data requirement, and the methodology are proposed to carry out future research on the research questions
