Experience

  • Department of Literature and Languages, ESLA, SRM University-AP (July 2025-Present)
  • SGT University, Gurgaon, Haryana (August 2024-December 2024)

Research Interest

  • My research Interests lie primarily in the field of Dalit Studies. I have worked, as part of my thesis, on Dalit memoirs that are originally written in English and portray the self-fashioned identity of the dalit middle class. I focus on the rise of the dalit middle class, its self fashioning, the paradoxical space it occupies in terms of social mobility vs marginality. Other areas of interest include Contemporary Indian Writings in English, Autobiographical Writings, and Postcolonial Literature.

Awards

  • C.D Narsimhaiah Prize (Runner Up) for Best Paper Presentation IACLALS Annual Conference 2023
  • Fellowship for Research and Academic Excellence (FARE) (1 year postdoctoral fellowship awarded by IIT Kanpur) (December 2024-June 2025)
