Abstract
Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), once specialist technology, have quickly transformed into potent tools with a broad range of applications in several industries. These technological advances build virtual worlds that either completely immerse people in virtual experiences (VR) or supplement the real world (AR). In recent decades, the integration of deep learning algorithm and machine learning (ML) has significantly expanded the fascinating potential and capacities of AR and VR by improving realism, customization, and engagement. This chapter examines the challenges that ML and DL are addressing, the great opportunities they present for the future, and the way algorithms are changing AR and VR.
