Symposium on Operators in Harmonic Analysis (SOHA-2025) Concludes

The Department of Mathematics at SRM University-AP organised the Symposium on Operators in Harmonic Analysis (SOHA-2025), bringing together renowned mathematicians, doctoral researchers, and young scholars from leading academic institutions across the country. The event commenced in the presence of Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ch. Satish Kumar; Dean- SEAS, Prof. C V Tomy; Associate Dean-QAR, Dr Karthik Rajendran; Head of the Department-Mathematics, Dr Kalyan Chakraborty; Assistant Professors Dr Choiti Bandyopadhyay and Dr Animesh Bhandari. The symposium also featured lectures and expertise from prominent researchers, including:

Prof. E K Narayanan, IISc Bangalore
Prof. Jaydeb Sarkar, ISI Bangalore
Prof. Sameer Chavan, IIT Kanpur
Prof. Sivananthan Sampath, IIT Delhi
Prof. Rahul Garg, IISER Bhopal

The symposium welcomed 31 external participants along with faculty, Ph.D. scholars, and postgraduate students, all of whom engaged actively with the advanced lecture series, foundational tutorials, and interactive discussion sessions.

The primary objective of the event was to support young researchers, enhance their analytical depth, and foster meaningful academic dialogue. It also helped strengthen the research ecosystem, deepened the participants’ understanding of advanced mathematical intersections, encouraged interdisciplinary thinking and long-term research engagement, while facilitating collaboration among researchers from various institutions. The five-day symposium provided a platform to explore the deep connections between Operator Theory and Harmonic Analysis.
