On January 12, 2025, the festival of Makar Sankranti, widely celebrated as Sankranthi Sambaralu, was welcomed by one and all at the SRM AP campus. This day marks the commencement of the harvest season, with renewal chosen as a unified theme of the celebration. Faculty and staff members at SRM AP created rangolis, signifying the making of Pongal, a sweet dish that highlights the harvest season’s importance.

The Directorate of HR organised Sankranthi Sambaralu celebrations. Respected Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ch. Satish Kumar, Registrar, Dr R Premkumar, faculty, staff, and supporting staff graced the grand lunch.

The campus beamed with radiant colors as the Directorate of HR arranged festive activities and friendly competitions including sugarcane breaking, pot breaking, a pencil game, and step right, bringing the university community together.
The day marked the coming-together of members from different fields and was enjoyed by all.
