Aloha’25, the much-awaited Freshers’ Fest at SRM University-AP, kicked off with a grand inauguration ceremony welcoming the newest batch of students with open arms and high spirits.

The event commenced with a graceful classical dance performance, followed by a soulful invocation, setting an auspicious tone for the celebrations. Esteemed dignitaries, including Prof. Ch Satish Kumar, Vice Chancellor (I/C); Major General Gurdeep Singh Narang, Director of Student Affairs; Dr R Premkumar, Registrar; and Ms Revathi Balakrishnan, Associate Director of Student Affairs, gathered alongside the President of the Student Council, Ms Nivedha Sriram, and the first-year students to participate in the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.

Mr Rishabh Ranjan, Vice President of the Student Council, then delivered a heartfelt welcome address, beautifully capturing the essence of Aloha, describing it as “a thread that binds us as a family, making our freshers feel truly at home.” The evening reached its peak with the unveiling of Aloha’25 by the President of the Student Council, Ms Nivedha Sriram, who described the event as one that stands for “creativity, inclusivity, and excellence.”

The Director of Student Affairs, Major General Gurdeep Singh Narang, addressed the gathering and encouraged the students to enjoy the three-day celebration wholeheartedly, while expressing appreciation for the relentless efforts of the organizing team and faculty.
