SRM University-AP hosted the International Conference on Advances in Materials, Design and Manufacturing (ICAMDM-2025) organised by the Department of Mechanical Engineering on December 12-14, 2025. ICAMDM brought together researchers, scientists, engineers, industry experts, scholars, and students to share and expand their knowledge on theoretical, numerical, and experimental developments in Mechanics, Materials, and Manufacturing.

The conference welcomed Dr Gopichandran, Former Director R & D, Applied Materials as the Chief Guest and Prof. Venkat Reddy, Professor at IIT Hyderabad and Dr Veera Boddu, Sr Scientist, Environmental Protection Agency, USA as the Guests of Honour. Prof. Jayaseelan Murugaiyan, Associate Dean-SEAS delivered the inaugural address while Prof. Prakash Jadhav from the Mechanical Engineering Department gave the welcome address introducing the delegates to the forum.

ICAMDM featured keynote sessions and technical sessions in hybrid mode in a spectrum of topics including Material Innovation & Design (MIND) Strategies for communication, Hybrid Metal Additive Manufacturing, Digital twin in manufacturing and many more. The conference also conducted an advanced manufacturing workshop providing opportunities for researchers to present their work, network and publish their work in the Scopus indexed proceedings.

The three-day conference successfully concluded with an active participation from researchers around the world, receiving over 105 papers and 180 abstracts.
