FORTEX36: National Level Hackathon Kicked-off at SRM AP

The Smart Tech Club at SRM University-AP hosts a National Level 36 hour Hackathon, FORTEX36. The Hackathon is sponsored by Fortify Events and curated for students to tackle challenges, offering goodies, certificates, and an intense competitive experience.

The hackathon features a ₹3,00,000 prize pool for coders and innovators and will innovate, build and break limits in areas of Internet of things and Generative AI. There are multiple groups participating and working on innovative projects that will work as a solution to everyday problems, that are cost efficient, innovative and sustainable.
The inaugural ceremony of the hackathon witnessed Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ch Satish Kumar; Dean-SEAS, Prof. C V Tomy; Head of CSE Department, Dr Murali Krishna Enduri; Director – Student Affairs, Mr Gurdeep Singh Narang along with Mr Ramakumar, Event Sponsor- Fortify Events and Dr Satyavir Singh, Faculty Advisor for Smart Tech Club.

On the Occasion Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ch Satish Kumar congratulated the students for their passion, he stated, when passion drives purpose, a 36-hour hackathon proves far more engaging than a 36-minute lecture.
Dean SEAS, Prof. C V Tomy encouraged students to view hackathons as a starting point rather than a final destination. He remarked, “Instead of limiting work to a single competition entry, refine and evolve your projects into robust, real-world solutions.” Dr Satyavir Singh faculty advisor of the Smart Tech Club stated that this 36 hour hackathon will be a test of courage, endurance, strategy and skill.
