SRM University–AP hosted Col. Udaya Kumar, Commanding Officer of 22(A) Battalion NCC, Tenali, for discussions on conducting an NCC camp on campus.  During his visit, he interacted with the university leadership and delivered an insightful session for NCC cadets on idea innovation using artificial intelligence, along with valuable guidance for effective preparation for the Republic Day Camp.

On his session on Generative Design & AI Engineering, Col. Udaya Kumar gave a detailed presentation offering a comprehensive overview on these novel domains – elaborating on the key traits and tools that help in creating faster design cycles and intelligent systems that predict, recommend, automate, and generate. He also illustrated real-world applications across various domains and the emerging career opportunities.

Col. Udaya Kumar opined that AI is increasingly powering generative design, learning from past designs, speeding simulations, while generative methods inspire AI systems that create—from shapes to code. The session concluded with an engaging interaction, inspiring students and faculty to explore innovation at the intersection of engineering intelligence and digital automation.
