Pre-Incubation Program
Pre-Incubation Program
At Hatchlab Research Centre, we believe that every successful venture begins with a powerful idea. Our Pre-Incubation Program is designed to nurture those ideas at their earliest and most formative stages. Whether you are a young entrepreneur, an aspiring founder, or an early-stage innovator, this program serves as your launchpad — guiding you from concept to clarity and from curiosity to confidence.
The program goes beyond conventional mentorship, it offers a structured and resource-enriched journey that helps participants refine their ideas, understand target markets, assess feasibility, and lay the foundation for building a sustainable startup. It provides a safe and supportive environment to experiment, learn, iterate, and evolve — with continuous guidance from experienced mentors, industry professionals, and domain experts.
Through the Pre-Incubation Program, participants gain the essential mindset, skills, and tools required to transform innovative ideas into validated business concepts — setting the stage for incubation and venture creation.

Entrepreneurial Awareness Sessions
The Directorate of Entrepreneurship & Innovation (DoEI) offers Entrepreneurial Awareness Sessions designed specifically for undergraduate students to introduce them to the fundamentals of innovation, startups, and entrepreneurial thinking. These sessions aim to broaden perspectives, encourage creativity, and help students understand how technical skills can translate into real-world solutions and ventures.
Through interactive discussions, case studies, and exposure to startup ecosystems, students gain insights into opportunity identification, problem-solving approaches, emerging technologies, and industry trends. The sessions serve as an early gateway for students to explore entrepreneurship, innovation pathways, and interdisciplinary collaboration alongside their engineering education.

Entrepreneurial Mindset Development
To nurture innovation-driven thinking at advanced academic levels, DoEI conducts Entrepreneurial Mindset Development Programs for post graduate students. These sessions focus on cultivating critical thinking, problem discovery, adaptability, and value creation skills essential for research, technology development, and future leadership roles.
The program emphasises design thinking, innovation frameworks, technology commercialisation, and practical problem-solving methodologies. Students are encouraged to view research, scientific inquiry, and technical expertise through an entrepreneurial lens, enabling them to identify impactful applications, translate ideas into solutions, and explore venture-oriented opportunities.
