FACULTY & AREAS OF INTERESTS
Dr Priyank Varma G is a PhD from The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad. His area of expertise is English Language Teaching (ELT) with a specialisation in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL). His research interests are Designing Teaching Materials, Learning Styles etc.
Dr Srabani Basu is a PhD from Indira Kala Sangit Vishwavidyalaya (Chhattisgarh). Her career spans over a period of 28 years in institutional and corporate training, and lectureship. Besides her academic background, she is also a certified NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) practitioner and coach. Interdisciplinary research, archetypal psychology, music, creative writing, water memory, are some of her areas of interest.
Dr Rajni Mujral is a PhD from The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad. Her area of expertise is Indian writing in English. Her research interests are include disability studies and language teaching, migration literature, literature in other vernaculars.
Dr Soni Wadhwa is a Ph.D from The University of Mumbai. Her area of expertise is in philosophy of language. Other research interests are city writing, south Asian studies, media studies, popular culture and translation.

OPTIONAL 4TH YEAR AND TRAINING FOR HIGHER EDUCATION
The three-year Honours programme is extendable to an optional fourth year. The programme is fine-tuned to make the students aware of the cutting edge research being done worldwide in the discipline of History. Further, we train them to prepare for admissions in world-class universities including the Ivy League institutions for their higher studies. It also gives them the provision to submit a BA thesis which is a pre-requisite in applying to premier universities in the USA and Europe, facilitating a smooth transition to higher studies without losing an additional year

Dr Maanvender Singh– PhD in History, Central University of Sikkim.His areas of research interest are Constitutional and Judicial Epistemology of Caste, State and Politics in the Postcolonial India.
Dr Megha Yadav– PhD in History, JNU. Her areas of research interest are analysis of gender relations and performance within the Tantric Buddhist practices in Early Medieval Eastern India, Nepal and Tibet.

Dr Bikku R has a PhD from The University of Hyderabad. His research interests are Environmental Anthropology, Religion and Ecology, Tribal (Indigenous) Studies, Nomadic Communities, Mobile Pastoralism and Conservation, Political Ecology, Climate Change, Biodiversity Conservation, Multispecies Ethnography, Sustainable Cities, and Global South.
Prof. Vandana Swami has a PhD from the State University of New York, Binghamton. Her research interests are Labour migration and questions of development in India, Agrarian modernisation and social change, and the Political economy of colonialism in India. Taking a critical perspective on colonial modernisation, I have studied the processes of the establishment of the first railway network in 19th-century India.
Dr Ipsita Pradhan has a PhD from The University of Hyderabad. Her research interests are Gender and the changing nature of labour, the Nature of Urban spaces, Gig Economy, and Consumption practices.
Dr Sapna Mishra has a PhD from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum, Kerala. Her research interests are Work and Health, Health Systems and Policy, Politics of Knowledge and Research Methodology.
Dr Sebanti Chatterjee has a PhD from Delhi School of Economics. Her research interests are Cultural Anthropology, Gender Studies, Sociology of Religion.
