Our curriculum blends technical expertise with industry-driven insights, equipping students with the skills essential for today’s job market. Our classrooms offer a collaborative learning experience, where IIT professors and industry experts co-teach alongside our faculty, enriching students with a unique blend of academic excellence and practical insights. We provide a hands-on, application-driven education that fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Our faculty continuously enhance their teaching methodologies through regular training in advanced pedagogical approaches and active learning techniques, facilitated by the university’s Teaching and Learning Center.

Programmes Offered

The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers comprehensive programs spanning from the undergraduate to the doctoral level. Our curriculum prepares students for successful careers in diverse fields such as aerospace, automotive, robotics, manufacturing, thermal sciences, and energy engineering. By incorporating hands-on experiences, including projects, industrial internships, and research opportunities, we help our students thrive in their chosen paths.

B.Tech

The Mechanical Engineering curriculum builds a strong foundation in core disciplines, emphasizing design, analysis, innovation, and real-world application through projects, internships, and research. To graduate with a B. Tech degree, students must earn a minimum of 162 credits.

M.Tech

The Department of Mechanical Engineering currently offers two specialized master’s degree programs designed to equip students with advanced technical expertise and industry ready skills.

PhD

The Department of Mechanical Engineering invites applications from bright mechanical engineers for pursuing the PhD Programme in the department. Selected candidates will get a chance to work with world class faculties on innovative research projects.
