Research Focus

The ongoing research in the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering revolves around three thematic areas: Climate Change, Biogeochemistry, and Circular Economy. We encourage both undergraduate and graduate students across disciplines to participate in various ongoing research in our department. The research facilities and expertise allow students to work on various areas of climate change, aquatic biogeochemistry and greenhouse gas emissions, hydrology, wildfire and forest ecology, carbon sequestration, hydrology, valorization of plastic, resource recovery from e-waste, solid waste management, circular economy, biofuel production, and electrochemistry are a few to mention.
