- Developing the ability to independently plan, execute, and manage a research project.
- Mastering the subject-matter and actively engaging with the global research community through (inter)national schools and conferences.

- Publishing research findings in reputable, peer-reviewed scientific journals.
- Showcasing the ability to secure research funding, mentor junior researchers, and contribute to the academic community.
- Successfully defending the doctoral dissertation and securing a job either in academia or in reputed industries.
