At SRM University-AP, we prioritise the three key graduate outcomes namely: Placement, Higher Studies, and Entrepreneurship to ensure that our students are well-prepared for their future endeavours. One of the standout features of our university is our strong emphasis on Entrepreneurship, which is supported by the Directorate of Entrepreneurship and Innovation. The Directorate, often referred to as our entrepreneurial handle, is specifically designed to foster innovation and support student startups.
Currently, we are proud to have over 30+ student-led startups actively incubated at our Hatchlab, which serves as our Technology Business Incubator. This facility is equipped with resources and supports budding entrepreneurs currently boasting of a seed funding of ₹5 lakhs to help get their ideas off the ground. In addition to financial support, our startups benefit from access to a spacious laboratory, spanning 10000+ sq.ft., that is designed for various research and development activities.
One of the success stories emerging from our entrepreneurial ecosystem is the venture oureye.ai. This innovative student startup has successfully entered the global market, attracting significant attention and securing $500K in investment. This achievement not only highlights the potential of our students but also underscores the university’s commitment to empowering them in their entrepreneurial journeys. Through initiatives like Hatchlab, we aim to create an environment where students can thrive and turn their innovative ideas into successful businesses.
