Centre for Interdisciplinary Research (CIDR)
About the Centre
The SRM University-AP entering its 8th year of existence strives for excellence in research through its strong multi-disciplinary schools and departments working on cutting edge societal problems. The university has made its place on the national and global arena in producing high quality research. The impact of this can be seen from the number of quality of research papers in reputed journals, granting of patents and technology transfers. It is therefore high time that the Center for Inter-disciplinary Research with faculty drawn from different departments and inducting truly inter disciplinary faculty from around the globe. The center’s primary objective will be to promote inter-disciplinary research by striking optimum balance in pure/ fundamental and applied/ translation research, enhance research productivity, and foster a culture of innovation by addressing critical challenges in food, water, energy, environment and other socio-economic needs at regional, national and global levels.
Vision
“To create new knowledge and innovations and accelerate development of solutions through discovery and interdisciplinary research conducted by a vibrant community of diverse researchers”
