Business is a great game in that everyone’s target is to achieve success or win, though winning or losing is not depends just like in gambling, it is based on scientific plans and predictions. People’s action takes the toss, therefore, anyone, who wants to be in that game needs to understand, first the nuts and bolts of business, rather the moves of each and every one, then they can start think of playing. Business in today’s world has become more dynamic than ever. The pandemic changed the spectrum of business, and E-Commerce largely replaced the traditional market. Accordingly, trade and commerce have tremendous potential to influence the lives of individuals and businesses. There are many career options available to Commerce Students.
The Department of Commerce imparts to the students understanding of the nuts and bolts of business. Further, it enriches the knowledge frontiers of the students in various domains like Accounting, Finance, Banking, Taxation, Auditing, Law, International Trade, Analytics and the new age learnings of Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence, Block Chain Technologies, Digital Commerce, Cyber Security etc.,
The young talents are nurtured to understand the concepts holistically through its dynamic and updated curriculum as per NEP. The student’s learning is monitored and assessed continuously through various innovative ways; some of the assessment tools in this direction are the usage of digital exams, online exams, case study tests, group discussions, role plays, quiz programmes, research projects and through other assessment criteria.
The Department started its journey in a full-fledged manner in 2021 by offering various Bachelors and Doctoral Programmes, with a good track record of national and global connections in academia and industry under the umbrella of SRM Group, which is a strong leader in various fields of education, be it engineering, science, medicine, law, management, or commerce.
