Celebrating the Legacy of Prof. Saha-Dasgupta at 60: Tanusri Saha-Dasgupta, Senior Professor and Director of the S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, is widely recognized for her contributions to computational condensed matter physics. She completed her Ph.D. under Prof. Abhijit Mookerjee, spending several years abroad, mentored by distinguished physicists as Prof. Ole Andersen. Tanusri joined SNBNCBS in 2001, building her own group, supervising more than 25 Ph.Ds, teams of postdoctoral researchers, and undergraduates. With 300+ articles to her profile, she has a leading edge in the advancement and application of electronic structure methods in quantum materials, and material prediction with state-of-the-art ML tools. She has steered breakthrough scale-ups to the computational infrastructure at SNBNCBS. She has been honoured with several prestigious awards, including Swarnajayanti Fellowship, J. C. Bose Fellowship, DAE Raja Ramanna Prize Lecture Award, and Fellowship of the American Physical Society.
