Summer Immersion Program 2024

Hamare Anubhav Ki Kyaari

A Digital Archive and Microsite of the Immersion Program

The Easwari School of Liberal Arts (ESLA) at SRM University-AP, Andhra Pradesh is delighted to present ‘Anubhava 2024’ – a 10 day summer immersion program for its undergraduate students. A firm belief in interdisciplinary education and an understanding that liberal arts education can be augmented for students with a dialogical interaction between theories and practice underlies the philosophy behind this immersion program. The word ‘Anubhava’, meaning ‘going through, or having an experience’ animates the summer immersion program. Students will be spending 10 days with a civil society organization in order to learn about their work for strengthening community building, improving local governance and gainful livelihood – among other goals.

This webpage is a digital archive with some video and photo documentation of the immersion program. Visitors to this site will be able to get some glimpses of the ‘Anubhav’ and learning of students.

In the 2024 edition of the summer immersion program, ESLA students were hosted by the following organizations:

Gramvikas, Odisha

Barefoot College, Tilonia, Rajasthan

Janapada Seva Trust, Melkote, Karnataka

The diverse and rich experiences of our students are documented here, organized in the following thematic areas – even though the entire immersion experience was holistic and interconnected in deeply fundamental ways that showed multiple paths towards community building and ways to augment social resilience.
