The Amaravati Literature Festival 2025 (ALF 2025), one of Andhra Pradesh’s premier literary
events, was held from 22–24 October 2025 at the APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium, SRM
University-AP, Amaravati. Organized by the Department of Literature and Languages, Easwari
School of Liberal Arts (ESLA), in association with Taylor and Francis India Ltd and Shah Book
House, this year’s festival was themed “The Asian Century.”
Over three days, ALF 2025 brought
together renowned writers, thinkers, artists, scholars, and policymakers for panel discussions,
performances, workshops, and literary conversations exploring Asia’s growing influence on
global culture, economy, technology, and politics. The festival’s Chief Guest, Padmashri G.N.
Devy — celebrated linguist, cultural activist, and creator of the People’s Linguistic Survey of
India — headlined a lineup of 120+ speakers and performers from over 25 countries.
ALF 2025
welcomed more than 525 attendees, including 240 external guests, 80 PhD scholars, 100
undergraduate and 20 postgraduate students, and 65 faculty members, offering rich engagement
with regional literatures, translation, storytelling, and performances such as Chhau dance,
alongside interactive Q&A sessions, meet-the-author events, and book-signings.
