CREATIVE WRITING WORKSHOP - WHY DO WE CREATE?
Encountering Creativity, Chaos & the Creative Block
What draws us to create? What if creative blocks are not simply obstacles, but messages from the unconscious? And what if the act of creating is itself a way of giving form to chaos, discovering meaning, and finding a centre?
Led by Samhita Arni, Author, Graphic Storyteller and Educator, this reflective creative writing workshop invites participants to explore the nature of creativity, encounter their creative blocks, and engage more deeply with their own creative process.

As part of the Amaravati Literature Festival (ALF) 2026, Sutrana is an inter-college and university quiz that brings together students from across institutions for an engaging exploration of literature, culture, history, art and ideas.
With a distinctive focus on Andhra Pradesh’s rich literary and cultural traditions, the quiz will traverse Telugu literature, folklore, cinema, theatre, music, visual arts, heritage, history and important personalities, alongside questions from Indian and global literature and culture. Designed to be challenging, interdisciplinary and engaging, Sutrana invites teams to connect the dots across different worlds of knowledge.
ALF brings together academic institutions, publishers, cultural organizations, and international
collaborators to advance shared goals in literature, education, and sustainable development. By convening
voices from across countries and sectors — including partnerships with organizations like Taylor and
Francis India Ltd — the festival strengthens the global networks and partnerships essential to meaningful
cultural and intellectual exchange.
Quiz Format
- Participants: College and university students
- Team Size: 3 members
- Expected Participation: Approximately 20 institutions
- Registration Fee: ₹1,000 per team
The ₹1,000 fee covers the complete three-member team and includes:
- Full access to all three days of ALF 2026
- Access to all festival sessions and events
- Lunch during the festival
- Snacks and refreshments during the festival
